Spring | Summer 2022 - Creating a Summer Capsule Wardrobe

Despite the fact that we never quite know what the weather is going to be in Alberta - will we need a parka or shorts today? - we do know that eventually, for a few glorious months, we will be warm. We embrace it with short shorts, bright prints and we don't wear socks unless we ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO from May- September. Here are our Fashion Specialist's must have capsule pieces that you can mix and match all season long.

Short Rompers

 Triblend Short Romper - Chaser 

Rompers are here to stay and we have confidently added them into "Capsule Wardrobe" status. Why? Wear it on it's own with sneakers or sandals and it's a two-piece outfit. Add a denim jacket for a casual look, or a leather jacket and heels for a night out - it's a versatile core piece that can be worn SO many ways. 

Sundresses

Capsule pieces don't need to be black and white - add pops of colour in classic silhouettes that you love to provide contrast! This season we are loving the sneaker sundress (available in 4 colours) that is a flattering for every body style. Use the sundress as a core piece and dress it up or down depending on your day! Add wedge heels and a floppy hat for brunch on the patio, or a chic updo and fancy wrap kimono for a backyard wedding. 

Chunky-Knit Sweaters

The Chunky Knit Sweater is a quintessential basic chic piece. Vertical Stripes add a  French-girl classic look that is a must have in any wardrobe, as is the chunky cardigan sweater with vintage-style wooden oversize buttons. It's an easy piece to tuck into your favourite denim shorts or wear over a sundress on chilly summer nights.  

Whether they look like you took scissors to an old favourite pair of jeans, or they've got a neat rolled hem, denim shorts have been here since the 60's and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. If you're scared to try them - don't be! There is a fit and style for literally every body type.  Do them in a classic blue jean, or try these black denim shorts for a slimming effect.
