Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking – we know. They may not be new but this year’s crop of fresh florals comes with a touch of whimsy, in the flattering-for-everyone flounce styles. Think a cross of a 60’s + 90’s child - peasant tops and light weight fabrics, perfect for the re-wilding of our souls in the forms of social gatherings, outdoor concerts and weddings galore. Follow along for a few of our favourite styles and how to wear them.

Lightweight, ruffled and pretty, these have all the fun of a skirt with the added convenience of a crotch. Pair with a plain white tank and white sneakers to tone it down or go all out with a complimentary mixed print on top. Add a leather jacket and wedge heels for an instant date night look!

You can’t say 90’s without the quintessential slip dress – we love this new version in a pretty pink + sage floral print. Add a cropped jean jacket for cooler nights + a chill vibe or these mule-style kitten heel sandals for one of the 10 weddings you have this summer.

Flounce + pastels is a spring look made in fashion heaven. We love the dreamy pink and blue tones and perfect length to show off those gams – a cute ruffled sleeve + light leopard print tops off the look! Can’t you see yourself rocking this with some cowboy boots at a country fair this Summer?

The maxi length dress is back and we are LOVING the khaki green color & ruffles galore for a military meets garden party feel. Add a leather jacket and sneakers for a night out look or strappy wedge heels and a pretty wide brimmed hat (like this one) for Sunday brunch with the girls.

Nothing says “flower child” like Peasant Sleeves and a collarless shirt in a fun palm print. Pair back to wide leg satin pants for a casual/dressy look or tuck into ankle length straight leg jeans for a day look (if you want to learn more about how to wear the straight leg jean trend straight from our style experts click here).

No matter if you choose a little bit of floral + flounce or go full out, you can’t go wrong. Experiment with dressy pieces paired back to casual denim + sneakers or take typically casual pieces and elevate them with heels and over-the-top accessories – print can be so versatile when you are willing to bend the rules and go outside the box!
